As the year draws to a close and our busy lives begin to slow down for just a few days, we should all take the time to focus on what is really important in our lives: family and friends. This is what the Holiday Season is all about. It's the most wonderful time of the year. It's a time in which we can let go of all those things that keep us from having peace in our hearts. It's a time in which we can be brought more intimately in touch with the Divine within us, offering love, compassion, and forgiveness to those we care so much about. It's a time that is more than just the exchanging of gifts but rather the embracing of the treasure we already have: our family and our friends. This is a time for Rejoicing.
It is in this light that, on behalf of the Executive Board of the Suffolk County Court Employees Association, I would like to wish all of our members a Blessed Holiday Season and a Happy and Healthy New Year.
